Like any other industry recently, the economic downturn has negatively affected sales and overall business growth. The auto industry has been hit especially hard with the aftermath of environmental disasters abroad in Asia, with factories out of operation for weeks. In Detroit last week at the North American International Auto Show, opening to the public had been the most action and energetic it's been in years. There was much focus on domestic automakers and local car makers. The demand for newer, high performance and alternative fueled cars is at the highest its ever been since the recession in 2008. However, the New Year brings on new challenges and obstacles for the world's car makers. Read on to find out.
The European debt abroad has had long lasting effects in the car industry. For one, we are not sure how the European debt crisis will specifically affect the global economy. The domino effects are yet to be foreseen on domestic businesses. Timing also determines a lot of issues and how to solve those problems. For example the release of new cars depends on a lot of things, patterns, and stock rates. Many carmakers determine where they're going to release a specific car depending on the locales region, demographic, and demand. Staggered releases are typical and are carefully thought out. One of the greatest challenges automakers face is how to out-perform its competitors in terms of marketing and advertising. This is contributed to price levels; upgrade packages, starting base prices, and memorable advertising.
There is a global push to get safety investigations and assure consumers that the car they are buying will not be recalled. However, sometimes, this just isn't safeguarded all the time. Toyota had great issues on the brakes of their Toyota Camry's which caused a big stir up in their sales and customer loyalty. Automakers are constantly challenged to restyle, reinvent, and introduce newer, better models for their old models.
Another pressing challenge that U.S. automakers face is in terms of production. Costs, location, material use, and overall production factors. It's a huge challenge to remain competitive in the game, especially in mid-sized cars. Gauging the market and choosing which models to revive and which to completely retire is an important decision car makers will face in this coming year. Oftentimes decreasing sales numbers may be reversed if a new model of a car is released and other times, it is hard for automakers to come back strong from a model that has done great in previous years.
Keeping customers loyal and happy with the brand of their car choice is critical. With a tough competition out there, entering the hybrid and electric market will also be as competitive. Equally as important about the car selling and production industry is how well car insurance companies are doing. As car insurance rates go up, fewer cars get sold. As you can already see, there are many factors that coincide with the total recovery of the car industry.

I don't think just anybody could become a repo man. I think it takes a lot of talent, guts, and spirit of adventure as well as a drive to make money. But I think that being a repo man has several advantages even though most people would consider it a job that they would least likely want to have.
The first advantage of being a repo man, is that you get to set your own hours. Most of the time people who collect car repos work at night. But they can work anytime, anywhere. As long as they are searching for car repos, they will constantly be on the hunt.
The next advantage, is that you can make good money per hour that you work, especially if you are focused on your job and you know how to find the cars you are looking for. A repo man can often make as much as $800 to $1200 in a day. Average earnings are still pretty high with these people making $300 - $400 in one day. If you are interested in repossessing for used car lots, you may only make $100 - $150 per pickup. However, if you are thinking of more expensive items such as boats or RVs for banks, you can make $300 - $400 per pickup.
The third advantage of being a repo man, is that people fear you. If they know you are coming, they will often hide their car or make it difficult for you to get paid. You have to be able to outsmart them, come in the night time when they are sleeping, or wait for them to come see you.
The fourth advantage is that you can become a pro at your job with very little training. You do have to remain calm under fire and not get angry when people swear at you, but you don't really need to go to college and get a degree to become a repo man.
The fifth advantage of collecting car repos is that you can feel good knowing that you are helping out the lender and helping them get their car back. The lender is not some evil institution, rather, they are the means through which people who can't afford a car, are given the opportunity of owning one. The repo man helps people to stay on it by keeping their commitment to pay their bills on time. They help return car repossessions to their rightful owners without causing an expensive lawsuit, and by avoiding confrontation.

What Does the Word 'Vista' Make You Think Of?
For some people, the word 'vista' tends to conjure mental images of vast open spaces and landscapes with a breathtaking view. Now, you may find yourself looking this word up in the dictionary to find its precise meaning but the type of vista that we are about to discuss is not likely to be found there. What we will be discussing is a specific model of automobile that is considered by many people to be a fantastic car to own.
The full title of this nifty little vehicle is the 'Vista Ego' and it belongs to a large family of zippy hatchback cars that are so prevalent on the roads these days. Hatch-backed automobiles, or 'hatchbacks' as they are sometimes called, are the kind of car that has a type of 'door' at the rear end instead of a regular trunk. This door is used to access the trunk space at the rear of the vehicle and takes the place of the conventional trunk with a lid that is typically seen on sedans. Many people like the style of the boot on the hatch-back because extra trunk space can be created by folding the rear seating down.
One of the reasons you see so many hatchbacks tootling around nowadays is the fact that they are economical to drive and the Vista is no exception. Lots of folks today do not see the need to possess the large gas guzzlers of the past just to travel around town and, let's face it, fuel is not exactly cheap. What is more, the fuel price always seems to go up more than it comes down so it makes sense to possess a car that is economical to drive.
Like most other kinds of car, hatch-backed vehicles come in a range of engine capacities with bells and whistles to match depending on how much you want to pay. However, just because the Vista Ego has an engine capacity of 1368cc's and can be said to fall within the economy class of vehicle does not mean it falls short in terms of appearance and accessories. Much thought has been given to an exterior appearance that is not only sleek but aerodynamic as well. Of course there will always be those folks who want a performance car that they can modify or a luxury sedan but for that you will have to pay a whole lot more. However, in terms of what you get for the price, an economical hatch-back simply cannot be beaten.
With regards to interior comforts, the front seats provide lumbar support and the height of the driver's seat is adjustable as is the angle of the steering wheel. The car comes standard with air conditioning and power steering and, of course, a sound system.
Last but not least, hatch-backed vehicles are compact by design and typically easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces. With features like these, who needs a car the size of a tank with a big turning circle that requires an extra-wide parking bay?
